Tinderbox

Dan has suggested a rewrite of Tinderbox to address some [minor] deficiencies in the current implementation.  Zach Lipton and have been discussing this via direct e-mail but I think having a list would help widen the field of input.  It's been suggested that this discussion might find a home on the daily-build list.  Before jumping in with a topic thats possibly outside the scope of this list - Does anyone have feeling about this one way or the other?
