If you're able to remember that there's an unresolved issue that needs
looking into, then I don't see any particular need for a bug report. Then
again, it is still a bug, and putting it in RT and flagging it is Irix
might be useful. Not sure. It all depends on what is easier to search for.
Neither route magically creates the time to look into the problem.

Anyway, I applied the patch to blead as 23439. I'll wait for a smoke or two
before integrating it to maint.
