Well, you're right, but that ain't the main reason I set it up like that. If you - like me - do more than just smoking, there are some files hanging around that I do *not* want deleted. I'm - for example - working on a patch to fix a format bug, and those files are called toke-new.c and such. rsync --delete would destroy my efforts.
