That's fine for us; currently we are in release freeze, so I guess
at the time of the switch we'll be at the early stages of the next
release cycle which is a good date for making the changes.

Actually I'd like to avoid building anything at all and using the
tzfiles from tzdata directly at runtime; but you'll see this in my
patch and cann tell us if this makes sense :)
