DBD::Oracle version to use?

What is the recommended DBD::Oracle version and which instant client should I compile against for Oracle 11g databases, RedHat el5xen Linux x86_64 (64bit) architecture?  There appears to be several recent oddly named versions on CPAN. 1.26 is out there, but it doesn't appear to be the latest release.  Thanks for your help!
