Hi, I was wondering if anyone could comment on any experiences they had with Shopzilla. I had an experience that I may be interpreting incorrectly. I was contacted by a recruiter located in Los Angeles while I was still in Florida. I sent my resume to him and he sent it in to Shopzilla (then Bizrate.com). I heard nothing back from Shopzilla. In the meantime, I got to Los Angeles about 2 weeks later to start working for Valueclick. It was at this time that I got an email from someone at shopzilla inviting me to call and talk about an interview. Now, it *seems* as if this was an attempt to get a resume and then contact the candidate directly but I'm not sure. First, any serious agency, puts their address on your resume before forwarding it on. In my case, though, it would be rather easy to find my resume on the internet. Second, perhaps something got lost in the recent switch from bizrate to shopzilla but they still had the resume? Third, I can't be sure that it wasn't just an internet search that found me, although the email was worded in a way that the recruiter there thought that he had talked to me before. One thing that sort of seems odd about Shopzilla is that they cater lunch for you - almost as if they don't want you to leave the building during work hours or something. I think I'm probably just misreading their intentions on this.
