I found this really thin flat white rectangular thing lying around in my office that nobody was using, and on top of it was a whatsit, um, pencil? Anyway, works remarkably well. And what's really cool, it solves the persistence problem in a totally orthogonal way. You just enter^W write the data down, and it gets persisted until you manually delete^W erase it. How cool is that? d.
