OT: Agreements

Hi,

When I do programming/contract work for companies they usually have an
agreement they want me to sign. However, I would also like companies to
sign an agreement from me. Is this normal to have two agreements signed
for work to be done, or do most merge both parties concerns into one
agreement? (I've found this to be a pain.)

Also, would any who work as independent contractors or consultants be
willing to share what they use as a standard agreement?
