Top Three Skills:	 
1. 6-8 + years of hands-on development experience
in Perl. Perl version (5.8 or 5.10) depends on which application they are
working on. 
2. 6-8 + years of Linux experience (specifically with command
line operations, debugging and reviving files.) 
3. 6-8 + years of
experience reading and understanding JSON, XML and other data file forms
from libraries.
4. 6-8 + years of Oracle experience (the ability to write
and optimize complex quires and create/maintain relational data models.)

Job Description:		
The client is an organization that owns an
application called the client that helps companies create, manage &
distribute e-commerce and marketing content. The client is a web base
application for digital asset management and distribution. They are getting
ready to release a new web application at the end of Q1. 
• Example of an
internal application: their internal communication platform. 
• Typical
Day: sitting with computer and maintaining and enhancing code. A lot of
this work will be individual. 
• This role consist of Perl Development. 
•
Most of development will be on their internal applications. Some will be on
their new web application. Release date of March 2017. 
• 100% of
development will be on maintenance and enhancements of existing systems. 
•
Developers will not be interacting directly with clients. 
• Methodology:
Waterfall is mostly used in their environment but they are moving towards
Agile. 
Additional Information: 	
• Required Skill: Bachelor's
degree in Computer Science with six or more years of industry programming
experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong
problem solving skills; must be a good team player and able to work
independently. Must be a self-starter able to work with all levels of
employees.

		
Who is the Internal/External Customer:	      
 
• Internal customers will have better organized information and
communication channels. 
• External customers will experience smoother ran
applications and be able to customize their application to their business
needs. 
• Internal customers are the different business users of the
application (sales team, customer services team, production teams and etc.)

• External customers are their clients/ retailers they do business with.
They have over 500 clients total. 
		
Non-Technical Skills:  
	
• 100% CLEAR written and verbal communication is a must.  
•
Organizational skills. 
• Ability to work in teams but also figure out
problems on your own. 
		
		
Technical
Environment: Perl, Django, Python, SharePoint, MS Project, Liquid Planner,
Python or Ruby, UNIX OS, UNIX shell, Oracle RDBMS programming, SQL, Apache
Web server, HTML, JavaScript, XML, Waterfall, Agile.

Desired skills:
In addition to the required qualifications, three or more years in the
following skills will be useful in comprehension and completion of daily
tasks: UNIX OS, UNIX shell, revision control, Oracle RDBMS programming,
SQL, web servers, HTML, JavaScript, XML and other current web technologies.
The more flexible applicant will have experience in one of the common
languages in the LAMP stack. 

Work Environment:

Candidates will need to be in Peoria, IL onsite 100% of the time. 
• 40
hour work week.
