looking for a new passionate Perl developer to join our ambitious team.
You
will take part in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and
help develop software that business rely on to be successful.

YesBookit is
part of the HomeAway family which is owned by Expedia. This provides the

What we're looking for

    A programmer at heart and that is
passionate about solving problems for the user.
    You should have a
passion for code quality, employing best practises while still being able
to get things done in a timely way.
    Ideally, you will be a creative
thinker who can find simple solutions to interesting problems. It is also
important that you know how to think about delivering customer-focused
solutions.
    You understand and can work with test-driven development,
continuous integration, and Agile Software Development.

You'll become a
part of our small but dedicated vibrant, stable and growing development
team working alongside other Perl developers, Front End developers, QA
engineers and Product Managers working in a focused agile team.

Responsibilities:

    Develop
against the existing YesBookit codebase and new projects
    Work closely
with front-end development, QA, product and marketing functions, and other
key internal stakeholders
    Ensure consistent, clean coding and adherence
to relevant coding standards

Qualifications:

    Formal software
engineering education or equivalent (coding and design)
    2 + years of
experience developing Perl for web applications
    Experience in
developing OO (Object-oriented) Perl applications

Desired skills:
Desirable Experience:

    Git or similar CVS
    Development in Mac or
Linux environments
    First hand use of modern Perl technologies such as
PSGI, Catalyst, Dancer, Starman etc
    Database driven (MySQL) Perl
application development
    Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3,
Route53)
    Development of and against REST APIs
    Agile software tools
e.g. JIRA
