Posted: February 19, 2017 Job title: Perl Developer Company name: Deutsche Bank Location: London Terms of employment: Independent contractor (project-based) Hours: Full time Onsite: yes Description: We are looking for experienced Perl developers who have a very strong background in Linux administration and TCP/IP networking. Familiarity with open source software in general is essential. The successful candidate will be, first and foremost, an experienced Perl software developer and secondly be an expert Linux system administrator. They will also be able to work collaboratively with other members of the engineering team on problem analysis, design and implementation. They will be able to maintain the strongest possible relationship with our immediate stakeholders in the support and operations team. Desired skills: • Object Oriented Perl software development. • Perl and general Linux scripting e.g., shell and command line utilities. • Linux administration and configuration. • XML, XPath, XSLT, Namespaces, etc. • Subversion and SCM principles such as branching and merging. • Vi / Vim. • End-to-end problem ownership, right through to production. • Proactive, methodical, analytical problem solver. • Ability to communicate with all stakeholders. • Pragmatic.
