General Purpose of the Position: 

The purpose of this position is to
develop, test and integrate new web-based software applications and address
issues with production systems, while also providing technical research,
support and training as necessary. The position is also responsible for the
integration of server side logic for user-facing elements developed by
front-end developers, as well as optimization of web applications for
maximum speed and scalability.

Desired skills:
* STRONG experience at with PERL (on Linux preferably) and object-oriented
programming. 
* Experience with the LAMP stack.

* On the database side,
MySQL experience is preferred but, Postgres is fine. 
* Any experience with
PHP is a plus
