Description:
Our client is looking for an experienced developer to join them working on
their popular web application. There will be some customer-facing aspects
to this role, but the extent is very much down to personal preference: for
a candidate who prefers to keep their head in their laptop this could be
limited to troubleshooting by email, but there’s also potential for the
right candidate’s involvement to expand into taking customer specifications
and negotiating custom designs. 

It’s a small team and you’ll be
collaborating with one another senior architect and several junior
developers, so a willingness to mentor the next generation of Perl
developers will be crucial. 

Their head quarters are based on the USA’s
east coast and but they work with customers in many different time zones
and will consider candidates from as far away as Australia on a contract
basis. For residents of the USA, free medical and dental care is an
additional perk.

Desired skills:
The right candidate will have full stack experience including jQuery and
JavaScript in addition to Perl. While their stack is based on Mason and
Plack, they’re looking for the kind of person who also has a solid
understanding of actual HTTP, and who knows the difference between an email
envelope and email body.
