Description:
The purpose of this position is to develop, test and integrate new
web-based software applications and address issues with production systems,
while also providing technical research, support and training as necessary.
The position is also responsible for the integration of server side logic
for user-facing elements developed by front-end developers, as well as
optimization of web applications for maximum speed and scalability. 



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Integration of user-facing
elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic
•
Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Design, build,
document, & maintain SOAP/REST/RESTful API's
• Optimization of web
applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Implementation of security
and data protection
• Plan, create, enhance, maintain, test, deploy,
administer, and document web applications, workflows, event handlers,
lists, master pages, layouts, and content types
• Work closely with the
Project Management Office and IT Managers to gather requirements for
functionality needed by various business units
• Update existing sites as
required by various business units
• Function as subject matter expert
•
Ensure all custom solutions are hardened against malicious data inputs and
outputs
• Ensure all solutions code is secured in accordance with
compliance standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation
describing configuration and solution administration
• Maintain excellent
communication with team members and management on all tasks and projects
•
Communicate or escalate issues to management when required

• Perform other assignments or duties as necessary
• Responsible for
staying abreast of software development best practices
