Description:
Join our enthusiastic team of platform engineers and face the challenge to
expand the Open Systems platform. As a (Senior) PERL Engineer you will be
part of the core team of Open Systems that ensures to develop and operate
the central monitoring and configuration management infrastructure of Open
Systems' global network security solutions.

As an engineer in this
position, you will make the system more scalable as well as implement
features and services that support our product in both Perl and Go. You
will act as an "engineer for engineers" as you join the Platform team which
is the core of our development department.

Desired skills:
We expect you to bring the following skills to this responsible position:

ETH, university, or FH degree in Computer Science or similar educational
level
In-depth knowledge and experience of Perl and preferably Go
Experience in designing and developing software components
Familiar with
distributed systems
Knowledge of Linux operating systems
Enterprise
Database Technologies (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
Experience in working in a small
agile development team (Scrum)
Fluent in English 

Furthermore, we expect
basic knowledge and a high motivation to participate a coached training
program in these areas:
Configuration Management and Monitoring
Timeseries-Database (InfluxDB, Prometheus)
Message Broker Systems (Kafka)
Understanding networking in general and the major internet protocols
(TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, SMTP, DNS)
Knowledge of network security concepts and
best practices
DevOps
