Job Purpose:
Accomplishes
software requirements, by developing, testing, deploying and maintaining
applications, processes, and databases. 50% new development/50% support.
Will be working for an ecommerce company on their homegrown ERP/OMS/WMS
Perl system + Web front end.

Job Duties:
=E2=80=A2Design, develop, and maintain
applications using Perl modules / code that meets requirements, is high
quality, and performs efficiently and effectively.
=E2=80=A2Develops and maintains
applications and databases by evaluating client needs; analyzing
requirements; developing software systems.
=E2=80=A2Incorporate standards and best
practices, including performance, security, scalability, and
maintainability.
=E2=80=A2Contributes to team effort by accomplishing projects on
time and with minimal defects.
=E2=80=A2Protects operations by keeping information
confidential and adhering to all company information security policies.
=E2=80=A2Ensures that task ticket system (JIRA) is kept up to date with cur=
rent
status and notes are kept up to date.
=E2=80=A2Define and propose solutions for
meeting requirements.
=E2=80=A2Contributing to improvements in the software
development lifecycle (SDLC) utilizing practices such as test-driven
development (TDD), static code analysis, code reviews, continuous
integration, continuous delivery, and automated security scanning.

Desired skills:
Qualifications:
=E2=80=A23 years of experience developing and maintaining Perl
applications.
=E2=80=A2Must have Perl, Restful APIs and SQL.
