Description:
This position consults with the Email Support Engineer, Systems Engineers,
Client Service Engineer and others. 

This position interacts directly and frequently with customers and reports
to the Vice President of Professional Services. Required working hours are
Monday to Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. additionally, complete some
internal projects (i.e. upgrades) and respond to support requests after
hours when required.

Position Objective:
Conceptualize, develop and distribute great products and services to
customers worldwide.

Deliver Excellence Service in how we listen, respond and proactively solve
issues.

Develop, test, distribute and support existing and new software products
and services. Provide technical support and training for customers
(reseller and end-users). 

Provide support for internal CLIENT NOC systems, including email filtering
services. This position requires excellent communication skills, project
management skills, technical capabilities and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities/Technical Requirements:
• Develop, test, QA and distribute new features, enhancements, patches and
new
releases for CLIENT’s DoubleCheck Email Manager and other products.
• Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level phone, help desk and remote support to
resellers and endusers
for CLIENT’s DoubleCheck Email Manager and other products.
• Provide advanced support of email technologies including Exchange,
Novell,
Linux/Qmail and smart hosts.
• In-depth knowledge of Perl with additional skills in C.
• In-depth knowledge of MySQL.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux distributions (Red Hat-based).
• Experience with anti-spam solutions such as SpamAssassin.
• Experience with Apache, BIND, PHP, HTML, CSS and website design..
• Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP/MIBs and networking
protocols.
• Utilize software versioning concepts and tools including Subversion.
• Participate and support assigned projects in a test and production
environment.
Understand the relationships in a Windows Client/Server, LAN/WAN based
environment.
• Assist other Engineers with server set-up, configuration and projects.
• Play a role in CLIENT’s NetCare managed service involving monitoring,
alert escalation and response based on Service Level Agreements

Required skills:
Strong Perl programming skills as well as in depth knowledge of C, MySql,
and Linux

Experience with website design

Experience with anti-spam solutions

Understanding of network protocols
