Right now we're looking for a talented and creative senior web developer to
join our growing team. You will be responsible for architecting and
developing a site that collects and stores photos, videos and music, and
introduces new ways to assemble these assets into rich multimedia stories.


Required skills:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar discipline
- Extensive experience in programming with open source technologies such as
Perl, PHP, Python or similar languages.
- Deep knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript and the W3C DOM
- Thorough understanding of Object Oriented principles
- Extensive knowledge of UNIX and Windows environments
- Thorough understanding of relational database concepts and SQL,
particularly MySQL.
- Experience developing/designing large software systems.
- Proven experience delivering product to market. 
- Ability to prioritize work, and communicate effectively with members of
the development team.

Desired skills:
- Experience developing with Flash and ActionScript
- Experience developing mobile applications using J2ME, Brew or Symbian
- Experience with architecting and deploying a Web Services API.
- Experience in UI design and engineering of content-based applications
such as blogs, photo albums, email, chat, content management systems, etc.
- Perl experience, including mod_perl and Mason, Perl modules, and Perl OOP
extensions
- An insatiable curiosity for learning new technologies.
- Interest or direct experience in leading teams. 
- A personal interest in photography, media authoring and sharing. 
- A sense of humor.
