Description:
This position is a senior role in MRBU, responsible for many engineering
aspects of SW build, release and internal tools development.

A viable candidate will demonstrate a strong background in SW design,
documentation and implementation with a focus on scripting and software
package assembly with experience on projects that may include any of the
following list of responsibilities: lead project team on the build of SW
release, including build and release management, posting software,
coordinating with other departments, and scheduling (from conception to
testing).The candidate should be able to work independently.

Note: Cisco has outsourced its recruiting for the CDO (Chief Development
Organization) to Spherion.  Essentially, we are their internal recruiting
department.


Required skills:
The ideal candidate would have demonstrated skills in Linux or Unix,
ClearCase, gcc, GNU make, scripting languages (shell scripting, etc.) and
experience in "release tools" or a release process. The candidate will be
expected to exercise considerable latitude in determining technical
objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed by management through
consultation from a relatively long time perspective, for results. The
ability to build a team and mentors junior team members is a plus.

Required skills:
1. Knowledge of shell scripting, Perl, C, Java 
2. Strong knowledge of 
build process and make 
3. Unix background 
4. Packaging/software release experience 

Educational Background 
Typically requires MSEE/CS combined with 5-7 years of related experience,
or BSEE/CS combined with 7-10+ yrs related experience.
