Description:
The job consists of the design, development and deployment of Web based
marketing tools for one of the Company's largest clients.  
The candidate will be charged with building internal marketing tools using
an in-house Perl framework.  Candidates will be expected to use a
functional specification and an interface design to build out the server
side components and the supporting database.  Potential candidates should
have a strong analytical and design skills, and be able to work
independently or as part of a larger development team.	Command of Perl,
Unix, DB2 (or another relational database), along with the concepts of
web-based (CGI) development are essential.  Candidate must be fluent with
HTML, and Java Script proficiency is a plus, as the target application is
written in the Web 2.0 paradigm using Ajax. The work environment is
fast-paced and dynamic, so candidates must be flexible, and willing to
adapt to the constant changes mandated by the client.  

Required skills:
The candidate should have proficiency in the following areas:·	
Linux or some other variant of Unix (HP, Sun Solaris, SUSE)
Web Development using Perl	
Command of basic HTML	
DB2 or some other relational database, such as Oracle, SQL Server or Sybase

Convert a functional specification into a technical design, which will then
be implemented using the in-house Perl framework    
Work with minimal support from other staff programmers Work cooperatively
with other developers or team members
Ability to work in a dynamic environment that is subject to constant change

Desired skills:
JavaScript proficiency a plus
Ajax experience is a plus
