Minimum of 3+ years full life cycle commercial development required and expertise should encompass project management, client liaison, comprehensive analysis/problem solving and problems and learning/dealing with technically sophisticated systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying significant new sites/online applications/e-learning solutions to a variety of high profile customers. Experience of Windows Server administration is also an advantage. You will be working as part of a dynamic and experienced team using Object Oriented Perl, XML, SQL Server, MySQL, Javascript/DHTML, HTML, IIS. Outline Within this dynamic, fast growing organisation, you will enjoy working as team player in a friendly and busy environment. The role requires strong technical skills and the use of initiative to ensure the effective planning and implementation of systems for high profile clients. The role also requires good client liaison skills to ensure good communication and to see deliverables completed to quality, specification and budget. As a company using the latest techniques and technologies, many projects will stretch your capabilities a passion for learning is therefore also of key importance. Required skills: Experience of server-side technologies and database integration: Object Oriented Perl SQL Server 2000 and/or MySQL Configuration of IIS or Apache XML Experience of client-side technologies: Sound knowledge of HTML with the ability to hand edit pages Cross browser JavaScript and DHTML Good problem solving and software design skills alongside the initiative to develop projects from specification to final completion and handover. Good organisation, communication and team-working skills essential. Desired skills: You should have a wide exposure to programming within a range of environments.
