PayQuik – Software Engineer

Formed in 2000 and based in Bala Cynwyd, PA, PayQuik.com Inc. offers an
end-to-end, global money transfer solution for both existing money transfer
companies and new companies seeking to enter the money transfer business. 
Our solutions provide a compelling alternative to building and maintaining
platforms, infrastructures and proprietary originating and receiving
networks.  Payquik has built a strong customer base of financial
institutions, portals, and money transfer agents based on the ability to
address the key challenges that facing these companies.  We have done this
by providing, among other things, automated regulatory compliance, robust
fraud/risk management capabilities and same day settlement and
comprehensive tracking and reporting.

unique individuals that are truly the “Best of the Best”.  We are searching
for a Software Engineer with the following experience to join our team:

Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
•	Primary responsibilities include designing, programming, and
implementing software components using Perl, PHP and/or Java in Unix
(Solaris) and Linux environments
•	Perform requirements analysis, technical specification, interface
architecture, code development, unit testing, and interface documentation
•	Drive projects from conception through completion


Required skills:
Requirements:
•	4+ years of programming experience is required
•	Candidate should have at least 3 years working experience with
Perl, PHP or similar languages in an a relational database application
environment, N-tier architecture, and distributed computing concepts
•	Should have knowledge and working experience in XML, HTML, AJAX,
and JavaScript
•	Should have experience in writing optimized SQL statements and
optimizing current SQL statements in use (Oracle)
•	Should have experience in database design, and successful track
record in designing, developing, and deploying software applications using
a variety of development tools
•	Experience with Linux/Unix architecture and environment preferred
(system administration) a plus
•	Candidate MUST have excellent communication skills, be a team
player (able to work with other developers), have a desire to remain
hands-on, have the ability to multi-task, and the desire to work in a fun
and challenging environment
•	Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
strongly preferred, but not required if candidate has enough hands-on
experience
