Description:
Vinq, LLC, a fast-paced profitable 3 year old startup, is looking for a
self-motivated Software Engineer. We build specialized large-scale web
sites and applications for high profile clients. 

This opportunity would be perfect for recent college grads or entry-level
programmers. 


Required skills:
-In-depth hands-on knowledge of web development using Perl/Mason, PHP, and
Postgres/MySQL; 
- Strong JavaScript/AJAX/Flash/Actionscript programming skills; 
- Expert knowledge of HTML/DHTML/CSS and experience developing world-class 

web user interfaces and applications; 
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux development environment, including CVS and
shell 
scripting; 
- Rapid prototyping skills and experience writing detailed design and 
specifications documents; 
- Ability to multitask and work under tight development schedules; 
- Attention to details and willingness to exceed customer expectations are 

critical. 
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team, and be able to
effectively articulate and solve technical problems. 


Desired skills:
- C/C++ and Java programming experience; 
- Experience with large scale GIS systems; 
- Understanding and working knowledge of XML/XSLT technologies and web 
services; 
- Experience in graphics/Flash/UI design using Photoshop; 
- Previous experience working in a fast paced startup software development 

environment.
