Description:
Network/System Engineer wanted to join a small team working for an exciting
emerging service provider in London.

You will be proficient in the configuration and maintenance of servers
operating a variety of Unix platforms and running an IP network with all
the usual services.

You will become part of the core team developing a large media distribution
service, interfacing with an existing platform predominantly written in
Perl.


Required skills:
- Experience setting up, configuring and maintaining common internet
services: HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH, FTP, SMTP etc.
- Installation and configuration of internet software: Apache, MySQL, BIND,
Sendmail, Qmail/Postfix/Exim, PHP etc.
- Basic scripting ability: Perl, Shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Linux and FreeBSD (installation and configuration).
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent self-motivation and time management.

Desired skills:
- Minimum Two Years Experience.
- Strong desire to learn new technologies and skills.
- Ability to develop/engineer/recommend solutions to technical problems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly and effectively.
- Ability to debug technical problems with minimum supervision.
- Experience with TCP/IP networking protocol and applications.
- Physically based in London, UK. Remote working is not an option.
