Description:
Idealpeople are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of the Web Hosting
division of one of the UK's leading Broadband and ISP providers.  Having
grown phenomenally, both through acquisition and organically, they are
currently looking to recruit a Perl/Linux Developer to develop, maintain
and support web based software applications as part of a member of the SME
Hosting Product Development team.  You will also work with other internal
teams, such as Hosting Operations to research and design new products as
well as offering support to ensure that SLA's are met and exceeded. 

 

Mandatory requirements:

Demonstrable commercial experience developing web based applications using
Perl as your primary development language 
Knowledge of internet domain registration & transfer processes 
Solid commercial MySQL experience, including database design and
replication 
Excellent all-round web development skills - HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript
 

Desirable experience: 

Basic Systems Administration and Networking skills - (Linux/Unix) 
UML/OOD experience 
Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) 
Membership of a relevant professional association, such as BCS or IAAP
 

Based just off the M25 close to Heathrow/Feltham, my client is unable to
offer relocation assistance as part of what is otherwise an outstanding
benefits package, and will be treating applications from local candidates
currently based within easy commuting distance of Middlesex as a priority.
