My Client provides high-end eCommerce solutions for global manufacturers,
distributors and retailers as a fully outsourced technology solution in
which all software, hardware, hosting, bandwidth and ancillary services are
provided for a fixed monthly fee.  
The company is led by a management team with deep experience in delivering
software services and that is highly customer-and market-focused.  
My Client is looking to hire talented and motivated individuals who will
push the boundaries while contributing to a rewarding work environment in
their UK Development team.  
Role

-	The primary objective of this role is to help develop new versions
of the companies product to enhance functionalities, increase performance,
simplify the maintenance, bug fixing and extend integration capabilities
-	Fully understand customer requirements, design and implement
solutions in a generic way, in order to avoid bespoke development and add
value to the company platform
-	To assist other members of the team for the customer e-commerce
implementations
-	Initiative and participation are required to constantly improve
every aspect of the service supplied to Customers
-	Adopt established processes for a consistent and high quality
implementation and constant improvement of the service


Required skills:
Essential Technical Skills
-	Excellent understanding and experience of technology and
development cycles
-	Object Oriented Perl
-	Familiarity and experience with architectural issues
-	Unified Modeling Language (UML)
-	Apache & mod_perl
-	SQL
-	Concurrent Versions System (CVS)
-	Experience working with Linux

Essential Soft Skills
-	Highly motivated and pro active
-	Attention to detail
-	Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment
-	Ability to automate common tasks
