Description:
Overall purpose of the job: Support and Create Database systems within our
network of exponential-e

Key responsibilities for this job:
•	 To design databases and tables, and carry out data management
activities 
•	Carry out technical support activities to new and existing systems 

•	Responding to requests for information from staff and ensuring
appropriate software routines are in place to meet such requests 
•	Ensure appropriate documentation is developed and accurately
maintained 
•	To report to the Systems manager and ensure all Systems development
within the company is up to date and concise 
•	Co manage company Intranet which is yet to be launched 


Required skills:
Knowledge and experience required: 

- A web developer with strong administration skills
- Perl development in a web environment
- Strong HTML and CSS including the ability to design the 'Look and Feel'
for a website
- Experience with Apace and Mod Perl on UNIX
- Some knowledge of database programming, e.g - MySQL, Postgress


Desired skills:
Preferred:
- Experience with one or more of Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD
- Skills in Javascript and PHP
- Knowledge of open source packages including the ability to install from
source (configure, make, install)
- Experience with common ISP packages (BIND, FreeRADIUS, MTA)
- Knowledge of Perl/ DB programming using Class::DBI
