Required skills:
Qualified candidate must be willing use Perl as a primary programming
language. 
Very comfortable with UNIX(AIX/Linux) as a development environment,
including using the UNIX shells and toolsets. 
Have developed quality applications on UNIX with 3+ years recent
programming experience using Perl and possibly also C/C++ in a
client/server environment. 
Can explain complex Perl regular expressions to associates w/o hesitation. 

Familiarity with UNIX System API. 
Familiarity with parallel programming principles, including threading,
forking & queuing and IPC mechanisms including sockets, pipes and shared
memory. 
Comfortable with object-oriented Perl package design and implementation. 
Used Acxtivestate Perl under MS Windows. 
Installed and used Perl packages from CPAN. 
Comfortable reading and preferably generating writing complex SQL queries. 

Written Perl scripts to access DB2 or other major databases using DBI/DBD. 

Converted data between flat files and databases using Perl. 
Familiar with SQLite and / or MySQL. 
Have installed / used VMware. 
Have installed / used Cygwin under Windows. 
Familiar with CVS. 
Have converted programs from other languages to Perl. 
Familiarity with other languages, including Python, SAS an advantage. 
Understands how to write the syntax to access a hash of lists without the
need to reference.
