Write, modify, test, and document programs to retrieve data from scientific databases. Act as liaison between clinical sites and the clinical trial center, specifically in the implementation of quality assurance procedures for data collection. Create and update administrative databases. Collaborate with study investigators and coordinating center personnel on data requests and statistical analyses. Required skills: Minimum requirements include Bachelors degree in computer science, mathematics, or scientific discipline PLUS 2 years of experience in scientific programming. Equivalent education/experience may substitute for stated requirements. Web-based programming skills in PERL (PHP a plus), database design experience (MySQL preferred), Linux administration, Java Script, HTML, CSS, Microsoft Access and Excel. Desired skills: SPSS or other statistical software (e.g., STATA, S-Plus).
