Posted: November 1, 2006 Job title: Perl Systems Developer, Oxfordshire Location: United Kingdom, Oxfordshire Pay rate: £22-£28k + benefits Travel: 0-25% Terms of employment: Salaried employee Length of employment: Permanent Hours: Full time Onsite: yes Description: My client is looking for an experienced Perl Systems Developer for the development and maintenance of computer systems and to ensure that systems developed are fit for use and available when required and to combat security threats. Other duties will include creating and maintaining scripts, to develop automated processing environments and using effective change control procedures to implement or change computer systems. Applicants are required to have experience in Perl programming including socket programmeing, SOAP, CGI Scripts and DBI and experience in supporting Linux or Windows systems in areas such as Firewalls, DHCP, DNS and configuration. Required skills: Perl and ideally SOAP, CGI and DBI and Linux or Windows support.
