As our Senior Software Developer, you will: 

• Implement data processing to optimization content on our popular shopping
web site • You will collect, store, condition, evaluate and organize large
data sets to drive dynamic features on our web sites which enhance the user
experience and improve the way people shop 

Your qualifications include: 

• 3 years experience writing mathematical, optimization type, code and
architecting data driven systems • 3 years perl, java or C++ programming
experience in a production environment • 3 years SQL, Stored procedure
programming or PL/SQL • 3 years unix/Linux development experience in a
production environment • Strongly self-motivated learner • Excellent oral
and written communication skills • B.S. Computer Science or equivalent 

Additional desired skills: 

• Sybase experience a plus • Sybase IQ experience a plus • Oracle
experience a plus • Experience with web sites and web services a plus •
Familiarity with optimization techniques such as Bayesian networks,
decision trees, neural nets, dynamic programming, HMM, clustering,
regression, estimation and forecasting. 


Required skills:
Perl, java or C++ programming experience in a production environment; SQL,
Stored procedure programming or PL/SQL; Unix/Linux development experience
in a production environment.
