The team is responsible for developing and maintaining cutting edge electronic information products and solutions for external customers, which includes adding value to our existing HTML and XML data. These revenue-generating processes will help to realise ambitious growth targets. General Duties and Responsibilities: To become an integral part of a global team to develop new or improved electronic products. Develop and maintain data conversion scripts and programs using PERL and XML technologies such as XSLT. Provide programming support for the ePublishing Department (internal customer) Key Tasks / Goals: Acquire knowledge of, and to help to improve and automate e-Publishing processes Help to automate quality assurance and data delivery from content management systems. Develop new conversion routines for new products/services Provide a data maintenance service. Required skills: Special Skills/Experience: It is essential to have minimum 2 years PERL programming experience and preferably 1 years XSL and data conversion experience Essential to have a working knowledge of HTML and XML Working knowledge of Unix, Windows OS, FTP is highly desirable Java Web application/enterprise programming skills useful Experience of working in publishing is desirable Excellent communication skills is essential Ability to work under pressure Customer handling experience Good eye for detail Analytical skills Good team player Sense of humour Contact information at: http://jobs.perl.org/job/4891#contact
