Description:
Backcountry.com is growing rapidly and we are looking for experienced
software developers that rock. The successful candidate for this position
will have the dubious honor of joining a killer company and being part of
our top notch team of Software Engineers. Duties include the design,
development, deployment, and support of web based business applications and
web store front.


Primary Responsibilities
    * Participate in the design, development, deployment, and support of
new web store functionality
    * Develop and enhance custom applications running on the Interchange
application server (using Perl and PostgreSQL)
    * Fix bugs logged by customers and users
    * Maintain and enhance data schema to support ongoing needs 

Considerations
    * Applications from Utah or those willing to relocate to Utah will be
considered
    * Position is based in our Park City corporate office and may require
occasional travel to Salt Lake City locations
    * Salary based on experience

    * Telecommuting is not desirable 


Required skills:
Required experience

    * BS and/or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
    * 2+ years of software development experience
    * Strong SQL and relational database skills 

Desired skills:
Desired experience

    * Previous web based / E-commerce development
    * Mastery of Perl and PostgresSQL
    * HTML, XML, XSLT experience strongly recommended
    * Red Hat Linux operating system experience
    * Practical Interchange application server and Apache experience
desired
    * Server and network administration skills a plus
    * Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    * Strong multitasking abilities and problem solving skills required
