Given a set of requirements, and within the guidelines provided by a software team leader, the person in this position is responsible for reviewing the requirements, designing, estimating, implementing, testing and deploying software components. The person will also be responsible for troubling shooting issues with a client and fixing those bugs on a development environment. Required skills: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Person must be able to thrive in a complex environment. The successful candidate will be someone who: seeks input to things unknown doesn't need to be micro managed willing to solve customer challenges and issues, is an all around team player We are seeking a person who is has experience with PERL . The right candidate will be good with databases, creating queries and able to handle large databases. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: PERL SQL Desired skills: TECHNICAL SKILLS HIGHLY DESIRED: AJAX PL/SQL Oracle and Linux ASP / .NET PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience in Perl, including understanding and use of design patterns. Strong relational database skills (data modeling, writing SQL statements and stored procedures, understanding performance and capacity issues, etc). Demonstrated understanding of N-Tiered architectures for Internet-based applications. EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Computer Science preferred but no formal education required.
