HCS Systems is looking for a Software Engineer/Tools Developer to work on
current projects. The successful candidate will help design, develop, test,
and maintain critical internal tools and applications. The candidate will
work across lab administration groups to provide tools support to internal
customers.
Other duties"
Interface with engineering services function leads to define & advocate
tools initiatives. Continuously monitor and drive improvements in tools
support processes. As required, develop internal tools and processes to
complement already available tools. Work with Lab teams and customers in
defining tools requirements. Assist in tools resource planning.

Assist in new tools and new tool release test and support.

Skills Required:

Database design and maintenance (ORACLE, SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL) Web
programming (CGI using PERL, PHP, or Python) Working with Linux Lots of
HTML Experience with automating repeated processes, and work flows Strong
Perl/CGI/Java/Javascript/HTML/PHP/Python programming skills Strong
UNIX/Linux user background Strong problem solving skills Strong
understanding of lab environment Strong understanding of lab administration
tools Strong communication skills Good project management skills



ADDITIONAL SKILLS: 

Candidate must be a self-starter. Ability to plan projects. 

Work under department strategy and direction. Translates department goals
into own work assignments. Independently determines and develops 
an approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in
meeting objectives. Interfaces cross-functionally at the working team
level. The position requires good communication skills and good Teamwork.

Educational Background Recommended

Typically requires BSEE/CS combined with 2-4+ yrs related experience
