The ability to work in tandem with fellow software developers in a fast paced environment producing stable, scalable, application functionality is essential. Hire must conform to best-practices core system development standards. Hire will report to the Project Manager. Hire must have prior experience developing web applications utilizing database driven, open source technologies (Perl/CGI, ModPerl, Ruby, Ajax, XML, HTML, JavaScript). Required skills: Expertise in the development of web enabled applications. Proficient in Ruby and Perl programming, implementing web-based applications in Perl/CGI. Solid understanding of web user interfaces and usability standards, experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Expertise with relational database structures (Oracle, SQL), and queries. Experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems, and a desire to work with Open Source technologies (LAMP). Willingness to adhere to development standards and methodologies.
