Description:
Parus Interactive, a leading applications service provider offering unified
messaging and other communications services to a diverse range of
enterprises and entrepreneurs, seeks an Internal Business Systems Analyst
in its Bannockburn facility.  This individual will be responsible for
analyzing finance and accounting systems and writing reports, while
communicating with our Finance, Marketing and Customer Service departments.


The individual must be able to:

•	Design, code, test, debug, document and implement complex financial
reports
    using SQL and Perl 
•	Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to Billing and Customer
Service software applications 
•	Test and implement fixes and enhancements received from third party
vendors 
•	Work well under pressure; meet deadline requirements; change
priorities as required by business goals
•	Learn new skills quickly; adopt and improve existing work methods,


Required skills:
The individual must possess the following skills/experience:

•	Hands-on experience with relational databases (Sybase and Oracle
preferred).  Ability to write and modify complex SQL queries, analyze and
tune for performance. 
•	Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel).
•	Familiarity with Unix (any kind, Linux is used)
•	Perl (or any other similar language, we’ll teach you Perl if
needed)


Desired skills:
•	Experience with vendor package billing systems such as MTS Total-E,
Portal or Amdocs
•	Background in Finance and Accounting
•	Experience with application support in Customer Service , Billing,
Finance, and Telecommunication areas
