Internal ID: MP001 Location: United States, CA, San Mateo Pay rate: competitive market Travel: 0% Terms of employment: Salaried employee Length of employment: FT/Regular Hours: Full time Onsite: yes Description: Genius Service engineering group is looking for an A+, hands-on, Perl/PHP/MySQL engineer to work on its high availability mail proxy servers. If you enjoy working with a group of amazingly smart people, can gracefully handle putting out fires, and can put on your Sys Admin hat at a moments notice, then this is the job for you. You will be responsible for designing and building applications in our Perl/PHP/MySQL environment. Responsibilities: Development and refinement of system build scripts. Fine tuning existing applications for memory usage and performance. Design architecture and code changes to improve performance. Required skills: Job Qualifications: 3 5 years experience coding mod_Perl handlers In-depth knowledge of HTTP, PHP, LWP, and HTML. Ability to code and debug and parse Javascript. Advance knowledge of regular expression. Must understand the difference between Apache 1.x and Apache 2.x. Knowledge of Actionscript. Solid understanding/experience with MySQL. Not only love to program but thrive in a fast-paced environment. Are self-directed but also know how to communicate with your teammates. Have a strong familiarity with version control, bug tracking and IDEs. Believe in making your code fault-tolerant, robust, and high-performance. Desired skills: Experience using Yacc, Lex, Bison or other parser generators. Thoroughly understand PHP-based server-side design and implementation.
