Expanding not just throughout the Yahoo! Network, but to the
largest sites on the web, the Content Match team is responsible for
creating the tools, software, and systems to scan and match millions of
pages and advertiser listings using machine learning and other advanced AI
and NLP techniques, in fractions of a second.

As a team member focusing on our deployment and configuration systems,
you'll be responsible for getting a very complex application reliably and
quickly into thousands of machines scattered across the world. You'll have
an active role in the entire life-cycle, working with engineering teams to
define robust configuration, enforce best practices, and act as a
'gate-keeper', relying on and expanding sophisticated automation tools. 
The role will include 'hands-on' launch and configuration work, as well as
continued development of our toolbase.

Required skills:
Basic Requirements include the following:
 
*Strong command of Perl and shell scripting

*Significant experience developing/working in a Unix environment,
ideally on high-throughput applications

*SCM experience on enterprise-level distributed systems


Preferred Requirements include the following:

*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field 

*C, C++, data structures and algorithms

*System administrtion experience on Linux and/or freebsd

*Experience with network/systems programming or distributed databases
