heise online is the foremost German news source for computers, IT and
related matters, often compared to Slashdot or The Register. With over 150
million page impressions and 24 million visits per month we are one of the
largest German special-interest sites. You will join a team of Perl
developers in maintaining our current web applications and creating
exciting new ones.

Required skills:
* Perl, Perl, Perl
* use CGI; use DBI;
* application framework (like CGI::App, Maypole, Catalyst, Jifty)
* SQL proficiency
* 1-2 years experience writing database-backed web apps
* able to communicate in German

Desired skills:
* templating system
* Linux shell
* web app security (SQL injection, XSS)
* JavaScript, CSS, XHTML
* XML, Unicode
* OOP
* mod_fastcgi/mod_perl experience
* some PHP
