As our Senior Software Developer, you will: 

·	  Architect, implement, maintain and re-engineer Shopzilla's data
processing systems. Shopzilla’s popular shopping web sites attract great
number of visitors which generates high volume of user data distributed in
a large web site farm. The data needs to be processed to feed into various
databases and data warehouse for front-end and back-end business needs in a
very strict time limit. You will be working as a senior member of the team
to design, develop and maintain reliable, scalable and flexible systems to
fulfill the needs.

·	  Constantly enhance the systems and develop new features:  your
duties also include working closely with other technical teams, internal
clients and management to enhance the data processing systems as an
integral part of the back-end infrastructure to support the very fast
growth of the business and various technical requirements resulted from the
growth. 

Your qualifications include: 

·	  5 years experience in the architecture, data modeling, design,
coding, implementing and maintenance of high volume data systems.

·	  Strongly experienced in SDLC as a lead or senior software
engineer in a multi-developer environment.

·	  5 years C++, Java, or Perl programming experience in a production
environment.

·	  Familiar with database, SQL, stored procedure programming. 

·	  3 years Unix/Linux development experience in a production
environment.

·	  Strongly self-motivated learner and highly adaptive to changes.

·	  Able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a
fast paced environment. 

·	  Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·	  B.S. Computer Science or equivalent.

Additional desired skills: 

·	  Sybase experience a plus.

·	  Oracle experience a plus.

·	  Experience with web sites and web services, especially in their
back-end software infrastructures a plus.
