Description:
The Tufts University Sciences Knowledgebase, TUSK, is a dynamic multimedia
knowledge management system, which supports faculty and students in
teaching and learning. TUSK provides a portal to an integrated body of
knowledge and means to personally organize the vast array of health
information through its related applications such as virtual patient
simulations, quizzes, on-line course evaluations and patient encounter logs
to name a few. Begun in 1995, it serves all Tufts health sciences schools
and programs including the Medical, Dental and Veterinary Schools. Our
department develops and supports the TUSK software. Also, we have shared
our code base to other medical schools around the globe.

The TUSK Programmer:

    * Will focus on developing and extending web-based applications within
the Tufts University Knowledgebase (TUSK) architecture;
    * Will at times lead projects and also work under others;
    * Will work on multiple tasks concurrently, including providing support
for TUSK staff and faculty as technical needs arise.

Required skills:
Bachelor's degree and at least one year experience with Perl and a working
knowledge of Unix operating system, Apache, MySQL, Javascript, CSS and HTML
required. Must be able to write structured and maintainable program code
with documentation. The position requires strong programming, communication
and problem solving skills. The candidate should be able to multi-task,
work independently and be eager to learn and take on new challenges..

Desired skills:
Three years of relevant work experience preferred. Experience with
HTML::Mason and Flash desired
