Social Networking Start-up This is a Social Networking start-up that is creating a unique online community through common interests on the web. Located just South of Market in downtown S.F. My client is looking for candidates who love working in a creative and fun environment. The company is generating revenue and is looking to add Software Engineers to the development team. Current need is for a back-end web developer who is exceptionally strong in database optimization and scaling. Compensation is market salary plus equity. Job Description and Responsibilities: Total development experience (3 to 10 years) Perl/PHP MySQL database optimization and scaling HTML/DHTML/CSS Linux and Apache Ajax is a plus Degree in C.S. or related technical field Strong knowledge of object oriented programming and methodologies. Intimate understanding of Internet protocols. Participate in brainstorming for site development Ability to work with others in a demanding, creative and fast-paced environment.
