This will be an initial 3 month contract with likely extension. The client is well known world class within the broadcast sector and you will be involved with some of the latest technology in the sector. This role will involve designing, building and testing software using Perl, mod_perl, XML, HTML, mySQL. You will be an active team player where you will contribute to new cutting edge assignments. You will be seen as a technical expert to all staff within the company. You will be experienced in software development processes and lifecycle and have at least 2 years experience with: Apache modules (e.g. mod_perl) Perl CGI HTML XML/XSLT Unix and SQL based database systems is essential SQL-based database systems UML, Scrum and XP is desired but not essential Ideal skills would include: JavaScript, Agile methodologies, Java, J2ME, C++ and WML If you are available in 2 weeks or less and are interested in this opportunity please apply immediately.
