Senior Software Engineer - San Francisco

Summary:

Our client is looking for a highly motivated senior software engineer to
join our team. You will experience the benefits of working at a start up -
a small team of people with many years of direct marketing and Internet
experience, a very focused mission, outstanding customers and as much
responsibility as you demonstrate desire and capability to handle, without
the funding risks typically encountered with start ups.

This is a critical position - you will have responsibility for the design
and development of a number of Internet-based applications required in our
business. In particular, you will have the opportunity to work on
UI-intensive customer-centered web applications and as well as applications
that provide high performance, highly scalable, real time behavioral
classification.


Required skills:
Required Skills:

You will need to demonstrate these qualifications during the interview
process: 
5+ years software development experience with Perl and 2+ years of OO Perl
coding experience. 
1+ years of RDBMS experience in a Unix/Linux environment (schema design exp
is ideal) 
Good skills in object-oriented design and working with complex data
structures 
Prior experience building software applications that demonstrate a level of
development versatility and creativity along with sensitivity to user
interactions, workflow, and application performance (this is not just a
scripting position) 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - demonstrating the
ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical concepts, ideas and
details to technical and non-technical individuals. 
BSCS, BSCE, or BSEE required. 
Travel - about 1 week per quarter. 
This position is based in San Francisco. Relocation and visa sponsorship
are not available.
