The successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to provide technical leadership, project management and play a critical role in defining the Backcountry.com QA approach. While working with our development team and business customers, the QA Manager will ensure quality in the releases of our world class E-commerce sites and back-end applications. Required skills: Required experience * BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent * High technical competence, track record of strong coding and technical accomplishment * 5+ years of development or testing management experience * Experience in building testing frameworks and in test automation * Strong project management skills * Proven track record for high quality software delivery * Able to mentor junior team members and provide hands-on management * Knowledge of various testing techniques and approaches * Driven, creative, and results oriented Desired skills: Desired experience * Knowledge and hands-on experience with open source test automation tools * Highly proficient with Linux * Industry experience coding in Perl * Industry experience in SQL and Relational Databases.
