Location: United States, Texas, Dallas Pay rate: USD Travel: 0% Terms of employment: Salaried employee Hours: Full time Onsite: yes Description: Works closely with or acts as a technical lead and participates in the design, construction and testing of the software. Initiates communication with the project team members for status, project direction, issues, and concerns. Completes the assigned tasks on time and delivers functionally tested code modules as per the specifications in the Technical Design Document. Writes detailed design documentation and unit test plans supporting the assigned deliverables. Performs comprehensive unit testing and ensures that all functional requirements are met. Follows the coding conventions and standards and participates in code reviews. Suggests continued improvements to existing standards. Analyzes trade-offs and proposes alternate technical solutions. Performs defect verification, associated research and analysis, code corrections, release testing, and testing support. Is available either in pager rotation, or as required for application outages or issues that are escalated from other Tier support groups that are classified as emergencies. Required skills: Perl/mod_perl MySQL HTML/DHTML/CSS/JavaScript Linux/Unix XML Desired skills: Ability to work independently. Good working knowledge of OO programming techniques.
