This includes immediate openings for several intermediate Perl developers in search of an environment that will allow them to be innovative, have an opinion and work on leading edge solutions that contribute to the web experience of millions of users. Responsibilities Key job responsibilities will include: Programming the on-line application and web-site as required and providing input re design and architecture Developing and maintaining the backend software infrastructure, i.e. database backups, optimization and architecture as well as the functioning of the web server and optimizing response times. Required skills: Requirements Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience 3-7 years experience developing web applications A solid understanding of the full SDLC and software engineering principles Knowledge and experience with the following: o PERL and SQL o Use of MySQL database features o HTML and associated web- technologies o Java and other languages o Implementation of new software technologies o Performance improvement.
