Their Corporate Solutions Division develops and hosts complete financial information solutions to large blue chip organisations throughout the UK. They want a developer to come and join their rapidly growing IT Team and support all aspects of web development in a challenging and interesting environment using LAMP. As Web Developer, you will: *Produce a technical specification and design, describing in detail how you will achieve the requirements *Develop, test and deliver high quality interactive, database driven applications to provide exactly what was requested *Work closely with the business to finish the work, follow strict quality checking procedures to deliver a high quality product and achieve sign-off from all interested parties *Assist with the release of the work into the production environment and take responsibility to ensure the change is successful Required skills: *A strong foundation in at least one server side programming language *Solid knowledge of Perl is an essential, candidates with good PHP experience will need to be willing to cross train to Perl, as all our web solutions are written in Perl *A strong knowledge of MySQL or other related database applications.
