Posted: February 12, 2007 Job title: Web Portal Engineer/Architect Company name: CACI Internal ID: 14142 Location: United States, DC, Washington Travel: 0-25% Terms of employment: Salaried employee Hours: Full time Onsite: yes Description: Web Portal Engineer who possesses a depth of skills to plan, implement and maintain a large scale enterprise web portal for a Government client. The candidate should have a combination of technical depth, expertise in web content management and portal technologies, platform architecture vision and working knowledge of software development practice models. The web portal to be designed will have interactivity with millions of users and must be designed accordingly. This position will present a challenging and worthwhile opportunity for the right candidate. The candidate must be a self starter and require little to no guidance, able to write documentation and procedures for installed components, fluent in English and skilled in at least one major web portal platform, preferably Vignette. · Must have held key responsibility for design and implementation of enterprise systems · Must be able to direct the work in defining logic and algorithms to create programming solutions and designing modules and implementing them within the overall architecture · Must have a significant engineering experience (multiple major releases) in the primary areas of n-tier enterprise systems (e.g. interface, domain logic and database layers), and/or large-scale content management systems. · Must have expert-level skills in Java engineering/programming, analytical/diagnostic/troubleshooting, web technology, and programming methodologies · Must be able to architect entire systems and subsystems · Must be able to provide the highest level of skill, quality, and timeliness to work. May work independently or as a team leader. Requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field) or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience.
